A magnitude 5.7 earthquake was recorded at 11:22 local time (4:22 in Italy) in the north of the island of Mindanao, in the Philippines. The earthquake had a hypocenter at approximately 29 kilometers depth and an epicenter south of Tungao.

No information is currently available on any damage to people or things. The Italian National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) and the US geological monitoring service USGS are investigating the cause of the earthquake.
