Argentina's prepaid health insurance companies have until March to decide how much they will increase their fees. The companies must notify their members 30 days in advance of the increase.

Some of the fees would be more than double what they were in December. The increase will serve as an example of the lesser evil for the pockets of the more than 6 million prepaid affiliates, says Ruben Navarrette. The increases in January and February were painful, they felt excessive and are proving expulsive for many families who entrusted their health to these companies.
