Profit tripled for Nissan, confirms estimates for the year. In the nine months between April and December, the net result of the third Japanese car manufacturer amounted to 325.35 billion yen, equivalent to just over 2 billion euros.

Nissan sold 2.44 million cars globally, with the North American market leading the way, and despite slowing demand in China. Nissan, however, kept its profit forecasts unchanged for the current financial year, with a net profit of 390 billion yen,. up 75.8% compared to the previous year.
