Puppy "Piglet": Pink, deaf, blind – and a role model for children. In Ireland, a pink dog that can neither hear nor see is delighting thousands of people.
Veterinarian Melissa Shapiro took the puppy to her heart during a visit to the animal shelter in 2017 and adopted him. After a few years, Melissa and Piglet visited a school in Massachusetts to tell the children there the story of the dog. The educational program is now used by children worldwide. Around 304,000 people are now following the actions of Piglet and his "mom" Melissa on Instagram.
