The Queen's Reading Room festival will take place on June 8th at Hampton Court Palace. Ticket sales are already in full swing.

The event follows on from last year's successful literary festival, which attracted over 8,000 visitors. Among the celebrity guests are Harry Potter film stars Helena Bonham Carter and Miriam Margolyes. In addition to the Scottish crime author Sir Ian Rankin, other best-selling authors have also announced their arrival: Ann Cleeves, Lee Child, Elif Shafak, Harlan Coben and Kate Mosse. The festival will be relaunched as a charity in February 2023. Its goal is to promote education by encouraging an appreciation of literature among adults and children. These are Queen Camilla's ten most popular books of all time: The Hunger Games, The Lord of the Rings, The Bible, The Hobbit and The Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 1 and Part 2.
