Rare D-Mark: These almost forgotten coins can be very valuable. Made of silver, copper or because of their special embossing: some D-Marks are really valuable.

The “Deutsche Mark” was introduced as a currency in the German Federal Republic in 1948 and was used as a means of payment until 1998. The coins could be used as cash until 2001, when they could only be redeemed for the euro. Now there are rare two-euro coins and one- euro coins in circulation. But some 50 cent pieces that shouldn't be spent and D-marks that are lying in the drawer can also be real treasures.
