For the race for the presidency of the Piedmont Region, the 5 Star Movement is fielding Sarah Disabato. The president of the five-star council group at Palazzo Lascaris was chosen as a candidate to challenge the centre-right and centre-left opponents, Alberto Cirio and Gianna Pentenero.
The candidacy was made official during a press conference in which the M5s vice-president, the former mayor of Turin Chiara Appendino, was also present.
