In a church tower in Romania, a medieval library with over 200 works was discovered. The scientists involved describe the rediscovery of this "forgotten archive" as a story that reminds them of Indiana Jones.

Among the writings are 139 printed books written between 1470 and 1600, two manuscripts from the early 16th century, about 60 handwritten documents from the period between 1300 and 1550. The majority of these works are religious texts. The works are to be scanned and made digitally accessible to interested parties.
