Bundesbank publishes a study on the economic situation of private households every three to four years. Germans between the ages of 16 and 24 have a median net income of 14,800 euros.

People over the age of 75 receive a median of only 24,900 euros net per year. Between 55 and 64, Germans have an average net worth of 129,500 euros at their disposal. According to the Bundesbank, Germans' wealth has risen – inequality between net wealth has fallen within four years of the last survey.
