From June, some new rights will apply to rail passengers – but not always to the advantage of passengers. The new version of the EU regulation "on rail passengers' rights and obligations" will enter into force on 7 June.

From 7 June, the following applies: for the onward journey, you may be rebooked on the train of another provider in the event of delays. In addition, travelers can also organize their onward journey themselves. The costs incurred can be reclaimed from the railway, but only if the company has previously agreed or has not proposed an alternative.
