Roberto Cavalli died this Friday April 12, 2024 following a long illness. He was the designer of the jet-set, a lover of python and flamboyant prints.

A favorite of the stars for decades, from the 70s of Brigitte Bardot or Sophia Loren to the 2020s of Kim Kardashian and Jennifer Lopez, he created outfits revealing the skin and shapes of his muses, which he sublimated. He lived the good life, married to a Miss Universe finalist, darling of Hollywood's elite and owner of a vineyard in Tuscany that he flew over in his purple helicopter. In its tribute to the designer, AFP describes Roberto Cavalli as a man who loved “Ferrari, big cigars, and tight-fitting shirts wide open on a perpetually tanned torso.” He was born on November 15, 1940 in Florence, the world capital of leather goods, he died in this same city, his own, at the age of 83.
