Sergio Alfieri was in fact a pupil of the surgeon Giovanni Battista Doglietto, who in turn was in the team of Francesco Crucitti. He is also an expert in pancreatic surgery, acute pancreatitis, stomach surgery, but also abdominal and pelvic mass surgery and surgery of liver metastases from colorectal cancer. He developed minimally invasive techniques (laparoscopic and robotic) with a percentage of 85%.
