Severe dengue: how it attacks the body and who is more likely to develop it. Dengue has four serotypes: DEN1, DEN2, DEN3 and DEN4.

In Argentina, the more aggressive DEN2 was identified in 25 of the 35 deaths in which it was searched. So far, 28 of the deceased had comorbidities. The majority, twelve, suffered from diabetes. Deaths (more men than women) were recorded in all age groups. But the one that had the most cases is those over 80, followed by those from 70 to 79.
