Consumer magazine Öko-Test has tested 31 shower gels. The result is quite good – but not for all manufacturers.
A single brand, particularly well-known and loved by consumers, fails the test. But numerous care products can convince the test laboratory. The test laboratory has no fault with 12 out of 31 gels tested. The magazine recommends keeping the temperature as low and the showering process as short as possible to make your body care as gentle as possible. There is room for improvement, but 19 of the 31 shower gel brands tested said they used over 30 percent recycled material.
