Three pieces of ancient Italian art will be exhibited in New York. The works are part of an agreement between the United States and Italy.

They will be on display until the end of the year, when they will be returned to their home countries. The agreement is part of a larger plan to improve relations between the U.S. and Italy, which have been at odds since the 1980s over the ownership of the island of Sardinia, which is in the middle of a volcanic eruption. The other part of the deal is a loan of three pieces of art from Italy.
