The reconstructive operation lasted six hours. The student suffered a skull fracture, a 10cm wound to the scapula and a 15cm cut to the ulnar artery.

The students will be able to return to school on May 30 for the rest of the year. The surgery was carried out by a team of doctors and surgeons from Italy and the U.S. The patient is expected to make a full recovery in a few weeks, according to the doctors. The school will be open again on May 31 for the remainder of the school year.
