France and Italy drew 13-13 (10-3) in the postponement of the third day of the Six Nations, played in Lille. The Azzurri came close to achieving the feat in the home of the Transalpines, because Garbisi hit the post from a free kick which would have ensured a historic victory for Italrugby.

In the previous two matches, Italy had lost to England and Ireland. Reproduction of this article has been approved by ANSA.
