Tokyo Stock Exchange began trading lower following the retracement of US stock indices. Nikkei reference list lost 0.76% to 36,009.24, leaving 277 points on the ground.

On the currency market, the yen is stable against the dollar just above 147, while it strengthens at 158.80 against the euro. The latest indications from the Federal Reserve on the reduced possibility of an interest rate cut at its March meeting were released on Wednesday. The NikkeI reference list was down 0.6% to 35,902.24 at the opening.
