Reddit, the self-proclaimed "home page of the Internet," will go on strike on Monday. Around 3500 so-called subreddits, i.e.

communities within Reddit, will be set to "private" for the duration of the strike. The background to the strike is a change in the terms of service introduced by the Californian Reddit group. Many millions of Reddit users use the community not only via the browser or the official Reddit app, but also via third-party apps.
