Researchers at George Washington University have established a revealing link between meat consumption and urinary tract infections. At least half a million infections in the U.S.

are due to the consumption of meat contaminated with E. coli bacteria. Vegetarians have a lower risk of developing the infection. The study should be kept in mind that the study is based on a single city city city and therefore it is quite questionable whether the result can be transferred to other areas of the world. The main cause of urinary tract. infections is the intestinal bacterium E.coli.
