A study by the Federal Statistical Office now shows how dramatic the situation is. Inflation, in which Germany is average compared to other countries, hits one group in Germany particularly hard: pensioners. The average pension in 2022 was 1,728 euros gross for men and 1,316 euros for women. The holding line for the current level of statutory pension protection applies until 2025.
