A survey of 3,000 Germans found that about 58.53 percent of the survey participants had already lied in their CV. Curiously, the proportion of men was 70.96 percent, about twice as high as that of female respondents at 46.06 percent.

Lying is particularly often told at these points in the curriculum vitae:Competencies, salary, job title and education. The results also showed that applicants from the creative industry are particularly likely to fumble on their CVs – at 76.74 percent.
