Successful double transplant on a 3-year-old boy with leukemia. He is the smallest patient in Europe treated with this procedure, in the literature he is the second case in the world.

The child arrived at the Bologna hospital from Bosnia, thanks to the support of the Ageop-Ricerca Association. The little boy received the donation of hematopoietic stem cells from his mother, but after the transplant he developed intestinal GvHD, a serious complication of rejection disease.
