Cyclone Mocha, the most powerful in a decade in the region, made landfall in Bangladesh and Burma this morning. The eye of the cyclone is still off the coast and is heading towards the vicinity of Sittwe, according to the website ZoomEarth, which has classified it as a super cyclone.

Mocha is close to the coast of Cox's Bazar and the Burmese border and "is likely to move north-northeast," the Bangladesh Meteorological Department office said.
