An 18-year-old eagle and a few-day-old chick were found dead in the Nahal Akab area. The eagle showed no movement and it was evident that there was another victim of death from poisoning.
Losing at least three eagles and a chick in one week due to lack of proper sanitation is a heartbreaking event. The Nature and Parks Authority is doing everything it can, together with its partners in the Spreading the Wings project, to preserve the eagle population in Israel, which is in serious danger of extinction.
