The woman, 24, was rescued together with her two children during a security operation by Kurdish fighters in the Syrian camp of al-Hawl. The young woman, originally from the village of Hardan, in the heart of the Yazidi area of Sinjar in Iraq, was kidnapped by ISIS during the massacres committed in 2014.
“They destroyed my life. I was bought and sold like a sheep,” the woman said, adding that at one point she was with six other women in the house of an elderly man.
