The National Administration of Drugs, Food and Medical Technology released a list of 22 drugs that they will put under evaluation. The list goes from vitamin complexes, the treatment of herpes and anti-allergy creams to creams with corticosteroids and dietary supplements.

It is after the Government urged the agency to review which remedies can go from prescription to free sale. One of the medications that laboratories have wanted to make available for free sale for years is based on an active ingredient called orlistat. The cheapest presentation costs around 35,000 pesos (30 capsules of 60 milligrams) and the most expensive costs up to 130,000 Pesos (60 capsules of each) It must be said that the EMA, the European body comparable to the ANMAT, accepted the switch of this drug of a long time ago, in 2008. The ANMAT rejected that request. Because those who consume this product apparently suffer from a major need to go to the bathroom, that is not always a capital imperative.
