Benjamin Gamond (23), the Argentine attacked with machetes in Mexico, died on Monday in the hospital where he was hospitalized in serious condition. The assailant is in custody.
Benjamin had settled in Tulum for the second consecutive year to work during the season in the gastronomic area of the Yucatan Peninsula. Santiago Lastra (22), his childhood friend, accompanied him in the same company. The two, along with Macarena Elía González (29), were victims of an unexplained machete attack when they were on the beach.
