Every Friday, dozens of Israeli Arabs, residents of nearby Wadi Ara, come to demonstrations and calls for the restoration of the historic village. Kibbutz Megiddo is aware that there is a basic situation in which the descendants of the refugees of the village of Lajun want their land back.
But in light of the increasing violence in Arab society, and the incompetence of the police on the issue, the kib butzniks claim that they feel threatened and fear retaliation.
