The rules on the blank semester and the dissolution of the Chambers are also modified by the constitutional bill on the premiership. The words "unless they coincide in whole or in part with the last six months of the legislature" are replaced by: "unless the dissolution constitutes a necessary act".

Which means that even during the white semester the Chambers can be dissolved in the event of a motivated no-confidence vote or voluntary resignation of the prime minister. The Constitutional Affairs commission of Palazzo Madama has just given the green light to the government's amendment.
