The death toll from the fire in Valencia has risen to 10. Prefect Pilar Bernabé announced this from the emergency coordination center in Valencia.

"After an initial forensic inspection, with firefighters and emergency technicians, ten bodies were recovered," she said. The fire broke out in two buildings in the city's central district. The cause of the fire is not yet known, but is under investigation. The death toll is expected to rise as more bodies are found, the prefect said.
