The first baby born in Verona with ovarian tissue reimplantation. The mother, 36 years old, had discovered at the age of 21 that she was ill and therefore she would have had to undergo gonadotoxic therapies.
After 15 years, when she was now considered a former cancer patient, the lady turned to the Medically Assisted Procreation Center of the Integrated University Hospital of Verona, directed by Dr. Gugliemo Ragusa. So far, more than 130 births have been recorded in the world thanks to this procedure.
