The Fonky Festival de Mars will take place this Friday and Saturday in Marseille. The event is the brainchild of DJ Djel, the architect of the sound of the F onky Family.

The festival celebrates the very essence of rap in the city with, on the bill, its founding fathers who occupied the scene thirty years before the now essential Jul exploded sales. The new emerging wave embodied by Soumeya, revealed in “New School” on Netflix, Stony Stone, or even So La Zone will also take the stage for the youngest. The program of graffiti sessions, rap and dance competitions with the Les Sancho Company, third in the competition “ France has an unbelievable talent” will also be on the program. The first edition of the festival will be held in the Belle-de-Mai wasteland, in the heart of the Marseille city, from Friday to Saturday. It is the first of its kind in France and will run until the end of the year.
