The Interior Ministry orders the increase of security in sensitive places. Particular attention is paid to places of prayer, in particular synagogues, embassies and main transport hubs such as stations and airports.
On 8 March the Farnesina had also published a warning on the 'Safe travel' website in which it invited Italian citizens to avoid gatherings and also "highly attended cultural events" in the city of Moscow.
