The Italian ambassador to Israel remembers Alessandro Parini. Parini was hit on the city seafront by a car driven at full speed into the crowd by an Arab-Israeli, Yusef Abu Jaber, in an attack welcomed by Hamas and Islamic Jihad.
35 years old, lawyer, Parini had just arrived in Israel on holiday with other friends. Other Italians and foreigners were also injured in the attack. The name of the young Italian is engraved on the memorial in Tel Aviv.
