Alec Baldwin has pleaded not guilty for the second time to the death of Halyna Hutchins from an accidental shooting during the filming of 'Rust', in October 2021. Baldwin could receive up to 18 months in state prison if he is convicted.

The prosecution believes that Baldwin could have caused Hutchins' death for two reasons: by negligent use of a firearm with a complete lack of caution "or by indifference to the safety of others"
