Noelia Maldonado and Emiliano Pennice were returning to France after a few days in Luxembourg. The accident occurred on Saturday night on the A4 motorway, in the town of Tilloy-et-Bellay, between Châlons-en-Champagne and Sainte-Menehould.
Noelia died at the time. Emiliano was taken to a hospital in serious condition. He suffered a fracture in the vertebra at the level of the cervical spine, which caused him brain death. His family decided to donate his organs.
