Les Echos-Le Parisien group launches new digital media dedicated to ecological issues. 2050Now will be a committed, but not militant, media, says Vincent Giret, editorial director of 2050NOW.

The media will also offer paid content, intended for the general public, and access to a platform bringing together job offers in France around sustainable development. This new initiative represents an investment of 7 to 10 million euros over five years for the press group, owned by luxury giant LVMH. The group has also entered into exclusive negotiations to become a major player in specialized information aroundustainable development, says Pierre Louette, president and CEO of the Les Échos group. The project does not start from scratch, since the partners of Netexpo, one of the assets of the group specialized in the global observation of business trends and which has a turnover of 5 million euros, become partners of 2050Now. It is backed by a “house of knowledge and acceleration of sustainable transformation”, which counts Veolia, Bouygues and BNP Paribas among its founding members.
