Francoisoise Gilot, a former muse of Pablo Picasso, has died at the age of 101. The artist had two children with the Spanish painter before leaving him.
She went on to have a successful career in France and the states. In June 2021, one of his paintings, "Paloma à la Guitare" (1965), sold for $1.3 million at Sotheby's. The last years of her life in New York, she was the link between the Paris School of the 1950s.
