The Maison d'Izieu (Ain) is, with the Vélodrome d'Hiver and the Gurs internment camp, one of the three places of memory of anti-Semitic crimes committed with the complicity of the regime of Vichy between 1940 and 1944. Emmanuel Macron is expected there this Sunday, for the 80th anniversary of the tragedy.

44 Jewish children as well as their seven educators were deported to Auschwitz on April 6, 1944. On the borders of Ain, far from the main roads and the noise of the city, Izieu is a small, quiet village.
