The 56th edition of Vinitaly, the international event dedicated to the entire wine sector, inaugurated this morning. With over 4,000 exhibiting wineries from all Italian regions and 30 foreign countries, more than 30 thousand international operators are expected at the 2024 edition.
1200 top buyers from 68 nations, selected and hosted by Veronafiere and Ice Agenzia, as well as commercial delegations from the main demand countries. Italian wine is worth more than 8 billion in exports and consumers on the domestic market choose it because it expresses quality, gives safety and well-being. "Vinitaly and the city" ( off-show dedicated to wine lovers which will close tomorrow in the squares of the city centre) and, yesterday, at Opera Wine, the great preview with the showcase of the 131 best Italian labels selected by Wine Spectator, the most prestigious magazine in the sector. And the research "If you take away the glass from Italy, a half empty" will be presented together with the Minister of Agriculture, Francesco Lollobrigida.
