Ana Victoria Ávila (28) was a documentary photographer. She had left her native Córdoba last December to settle in Mexico.
Her relatives had not heard from her since last Wednesday. This Friday she was found dead in the sea, near Playa del Carmen. The discovery of her remains took place several meters into the Caribbean Sea, near Puerto Morelos, about 30 kilometers north of Playadel Carmen and 35 kilometers south of Cancún. One of the identification signs was a tattoo on the left side of his back, local media reported.
