Helge Schneider has published six Inspector Schneider crime novels. The seventh volume about Commissioner Yves Schneider is now available.

In the current crime thriller, Inspector Schneider is looking for a murderer who builds a kind of robot from body parts of his victims in combination with electrical components. The topic of artificial intelligence will haunt us for a long time, says Schneider to the Süddeutsche Zeitung. The author is of the opinion that humans themselves are already hybrids and have the AI under control. Helge Schneider will go on a guest reading tour with the book in Berlin, starting in Munich on September 14. The book is not for the faint of heart. It's just a psychological thriller à la Sebastian Fitzek or Stephen King, who doesn't think much of AI either. It was clear to me that the story would hit like a bolt from the blue. But I don't want to give too much away here. Only one thing is certain: not for a faint-heart. Only a magnificent sleuth this man has become in his old age.
