15 of the products examined contain titanium dioxide. The white color pigment has been banned for food in 2022. Lead and missing fluoride were also detected in 17 products with natural cosmetics certification. The EU Commission will reassess the safety of titanium dioxide in cosmetics this year.. Öko- Test evaluates almost 50 different toothpastees. In some of them, questionable ingredients could be detected - even in well-known brands.
