India's Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said today that the cause and those responsible for the June 2 train accident have been identified. Three trains, two passenger trains and one freight train were involved.

It is the worst train disaster in the country in decades, with almost 300 dead and 900 injured. The cause of the accident has been referred to an electronic signal system without providing further details. The investigation into the accident is expected to be completed by the end of the month, the Railway Minister said.
