If the houseplant was injured during repotting or moving, for example, then you should use the Christmas spice. The latter is particularly suitable for keeping annoying insects away because: “Cinnamon is a smell that no insect knows and therefore doesn’t think that there is anything to eat,” explains garden expert Heike Boomgaarden.
