Trick saves dying houseplants in no time: it works with a spice. Cinnamon is a real all-rounder when it comes to plants.

Plant expert Karin Greiner explains to Bayerischer Rundfunk how you should proceed. To do this, take the injured part of the plant, for example the root, and coat it with cinnamon. This disinfects the area and saves the plant from dying. If the plant in the room, in the garden, or on the balcony is affected by mold, quick intervention is also important.
