“Lend me your hand” is one of the rare American-style French comedies, with a raw concrete scenario based on an idea by Alain Chabat, who also plays the main role. A single forty-year-old (Chabat) does not want to change anything in his life, but his mother and his five sisters can no longer stand seeing him in their skirts.
He will then choose a false fiancée (Charlotte Gainsbourg), whose services he hires and whom he asks to be so vulgar that her family will not want her.
