Two bas-reliefs signed David d'Angers, found at the bottom of a barn, estimated at 30,000 euros. The two “exceptional” works, according to the Daguerre Val de Loire appraised them, will be sold in Drouot on March 22.

David d’Angers (1788 - 1856) is an eminent representative of the romantic period of French sculpture. He sculpted the statue of the Grand Condé which sits in the main courtyard of the Palace of Versailles.
