The violent repression of peaceful protests and widespread "institutional discrimination" against women and girls in Iran have led to serious human rights violations by the Iranian government, many of which constitute "crimes against humanity" This was stated today by the independent international UN fact-finding mission on the Islamic Republic of Iran in its first report released today in Geneva.
